The Global Product Manager, Ventilation will be part of our Respiratory Interventions Operating Unit within the Medical Surgical Portfolio at Medtronic. The Global Product Manager will focus on ventilators and accessories needed to deliver ventilation therapy.
A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Support existing portfolio of products by helping to prioritize and resource essential engineering change orders, sustaining develop projects, etc.
- Engage global marketing partners with communications around product changes
- Support analysis of markets, competition and customer needs
- Develops positioning and messaging strategies for the ventilation portfolio to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity
- Works closely with cross-functions to ensure the on-time, on-budget execution of product projects.
- Coordinates with both downstream and commercial marketing to ensure smooth and orderly transition from product development to product management to commercialization.
- Develop strategies related to ventilation product lines
- Responsible for product pricing, forecasting, and data integrity
- Develop impactful product positioning and annual marketing plan
- Monitor sales trends and make recommendations for deeper penetration of products in the market
- Develop key technical and marketing materials to support the global sales force and maintain frequent communication with them, providing high-value insights
- Keep current on new and competitive technology offerings in the marketplace
- Work closely with R&D to provide direction to development efforts for product improvements and longer-term new product and technology development
- Obtain product knowledge, to be seen as the Subject Matter Expert by our customers and our Medtronic functional partners
- Work with cross-functional members as required to ensure products meet global standards
- Define customer requirements for product additions or improvements or provide analysis for business development opportunities
- Works with Engineering and Quality to ensure the quality of products and quickly rallies necessary functional partners to respond to quality issues
- Acts as an interface with demand planning and supply chain to manage supply/demand forecasting needs
- • Monitors competitive moves as they relate to the Ventilation products and develops a cohesive response that can be used to deter competitive threats

- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 4 years of marketing or R&D, or clinical experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience
Nice to Have
- Product Management experience in medical device industry
- SAP/Agile experience
