Senior Communications Generalist
A Day in the Life
An experienced Corporate Communications professional to lead our proactive and reactive communications projects Arabian Peninsula States in region. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate, consumer and product communications, crisis management, working with senior executives and will be able to balance handling a combination of breaking news and real time requests with managing strategic corporate communications projects and therapy announcements. The ability to combine strategy and flawless execution, ruthlessly prioritize and work on a number of projects at once will be essential.
Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Leads strategy development and produces content aimed at external and internal audiences that supports greater business impact.
- Creates strategic external relations plans to build reputation, thought leadership, and advocacy to drive business impact and results for Medtronic.
- Proactively shapes the company's identity through traditional and new media channels – paid, earned, shared, and owned.
- Advances the company narrative to media and other external audiences as defined, which may involve the strategic conceptualization and execution of creative (PR) campaigns and support senior leadership in communicating it to external audiences.
- Helps lead Communications strategy and response development through issues or crisis to protect the company's reputation.
- Oversees and executes the writing, editing and approval of event scripts, speeches, key documents and reports, promotional materials, press releases, interviews, FAQs and other external communications vehicles as defined.
- Lead and support employees’ communications programs and initiatives that reinforce Medtronic mindset and promotes transparent and engaging communications

Requirements:
- Requires a University Degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience
- Ability work alongside a diverse group of employees
- To be resourceful and take initiative even when given minimal direction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Languages English and Arabic are a must
