A Day in the Life
- Project manage multiple concurrent full-cycle implementations of Touch Surgery at major hospital systems across the United States, ensuring projects are executed on-time and within budget.
- Engage with clinical and administrative stakeholders to ensure polished communication and collaboration throughout each deployment project including Surgeons, Nurses, OR Managers, Residents, Hospital IT, Surgical Technology Reps and Biomedical Engineering.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Touch Surgery platform and how it interacts with surgical workflows in the OR.
- Lead Kickoff and Training Presentations for clinical audiences that include live demonstrations of the Touch Surgery platform.
- Test equipment and connectivity of our hardware solutions in live operating rooms prior to deployment, working in collaboration with our engineering team at the London headquarters.
- Participate in internal project scoping discussions to ensure we’re setting our clients up for success and that expectations will equal reality.
- Solicit and gather feedback from users and administrators to continually improve our product and the implementation experience for our clients.
- Ensure a smooth hand-off from Implementation to the Support team, ensuring long term success for our clients and continuity of experience.
- Build working relationships with internal product and engineering teams to ensure real-world client feedback is incorporated into future product development.
- Represent Touch Surgery as an ambassador of our products and the Digital Surgery brand both on-site with clients and at conferences/other commercial events.
- As our company and team continue to scale, you may be asked to manage additional team members who will assist with implementation efforts.
- Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for key business processes.
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
- Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 4 years of project management and operating room/ hospital experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years project management and operating room/ hospital experience
- Previous experience working in hospital Operating Rooms from either a clinical, technology, or medical device perspective.
- Strong project management skills are prioritized, and experience with clinical healthcare IT is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and competency with standard project management tools are required
- Some technical proficiency required to understand our products and conduct required testing with integrated surgical video systems.
- Ability to work remotely and productively for an international company spanning multiple time zones across the US and Europe.
- Ability to travel 25-75% of the time, as needed, to customer sites
