You will lead and manage the communications strategy in support of the MITG Operations organization, including 30 manufacturing global facilities, 16,000 employees, and $2.4B cost of production.
In this role, you are responsible for the design and implementation of internal, executive, project, and issues management communications strategies and channels that reach a variety of audiences aligned with our integrated communications approach. This includes being a member of the MITG Operations leadership team. Your combination of skills, including organization, reliability, and attention to detail, helps deliver consistent, quality, and creative communications that inspire audiences to engage. You are trusted to work with minimal supervision, self-prioritize, communicate frequently, and show discretion in all activities ? while aligning with internal stakeholders to achieve results. This role requires a high level of integrity, reliability, and accountability.

A Day in the Life
• Serve as a strategic partner to the MITG Operations Leadership Team to influence and provide effective communications for the business
• Lead strategies to enable and enhance communications that effectively reach our direct labor population, including managing communications designees from each site (Operations Communications Network)
• Design and manage internal communications channels to engage a 16,000-employee global business
• Design and deploy large-scale strategic manufacturing projects
• Partner with external communications MITG partners to address operation-related issues or crisis
• Partner with Communications Business Partners to create strategic recommendations and plans to proactively advance the operations goals of the businesses
• Own the writing, editing and approval of operations communications
• Conduct internal briefings to ensure alignment of internal and external messages across audiences
• Manage the internal review process for operations communications materials
• Lead and own metric program to evaluate impact and effectiveness of Operations communications
• Manage agency/vendor activities and relationships
Must Haves
• 10+ years of progressive corporate or agency communications experience with a Bachelor’s Degree OR 8+ years of experience with an advanced degree
Nice to Have
• Strong Internal Communications background
• Experience managing in a COE or agency model – ability to develop and understand communication strategies, and collaborate with COEs to execute plans
• Creativity and thought leadership in developing new and motivating approaches to internal communications
• Ability to effectively work with all employees, across all levels of the organization, including senior management
• A demonstrated calm and steady approach in difficult, high-pressure situations
• Adept at managing internal and external relationships through use of interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours (including some evenings and weekends)
• Ability to achieve results through teams, exerting influence without direct authority
• Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize
