A Day in the Life
As a Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for directing and controlling the movement of materials into, within, and out of the plant. This role also manages key materials related functions such as production scheduling, material planning, inventory control, supply planning, and in-direct materials purchasing.
In this role, you will be a member of Eatontown’s Site Leadership and Management team.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Performs supply chain and logistics functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution.
- Facilitates the local SIOP process.
- Responsible for planning and executing product deliveries in accordance with site commitments and distribution center requirements. Ensures feasibility when establishing site commitments and gains consensus on the forecast with key stakeholders. Coordinates with Spine Global Supply Chain Planning team to minimize risk of back-order and maintain desired safety stock levels, while optimizing use of tissue.
- Creates and executes supply chain and sourcing strategies at the manufacturing site which support growth, customer satisfaction, product cost management, forecast accuracy and inventory optimization.
- Drives communication and alignment between all functions to achieve delivery results and financial objectives.
- Ensures Purchasing and Sourcing processes are adhered to and are consistent with corporate guidelines.
- Responsible for eSAP and CenterPiece SAP Order Entry and Order Management for Eatontown product families.
- Provides support for site AOP planning process.
- Works with Product Launch team(s) to support phase in plans for new product launches and develop corresponding phase-out plans.
- Assists in achieving site cost down goals. Identifies and implements plans to generate cost savings opportunities.
- Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solution.
- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
- Experience within a regulated industry (Med Device, Pharma, Electronics or Food, etc.)
- Demonstrated Project Management leadership
- Lean Sigma certification
- Experience leading strategic process improvements
- People leadership experience with demonstrated capability to build, coach and mentor a high-performance team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
