Sr Market Dev Specialist
The purpose of the role is to support, develop and execute Medtronic Diabetes value proposition for the Diabetes budget holders in the EMEA region.
To plan the communication strategy from developing insights to designing the end-to-end customers experience with different payers’ segments across the EMEA region.
A Day in the Life
The individual carries out his/her responsibilities within the framework of contribution to multi-disciplinary teams including outcomes research, clinical, medical and marketing to support market access and brand preference.
- Establish deep expertise on the target Diabetes payers’ segments across the Region and ensures this expertise gets integrated purposefully into the market access strategy.
- Conduct market analyses to maintain an appropriate level of understanding of health care financing, organization, systems and standards for care delivery, developing insights that can help improve market access programs with Diabetes budget holders.
- Orchestrate and integrate elements of customer experience together with health economics requirements to develop tailored value propositions for market access purpose and brand preference.
- Look for opportunities to continuously optimize the payer’s customer experience, establishing metrics that can help measure the engagement of the customer segment where possible.
- Drive brand awareness and equity among the target audience across the region.
- Work with advocacy groups/ GA team for lobbying purposes.
- Interact directly with product managers to customize the value proposition for the different target audience (NHS, insurers, local payers, hospital budget holders….).
- Create new engagement opportunities and channels relevant to the target audience.
- Provide internal and external training on key market access topics in line with the communication strategy for the different segments and customers.
- Collaborate with Patients and HCP marketing to align value offering across the different groups and customers.
- Contribute as member of the EMEA market access community, ensuring efficient use of data/tools and knowledge across the EMEA.
- Ensure quality in delivery and execution.Expected travel, mainly within European countries, 30% of regular working time.
Must Have:
- Postgraduate degree in Economics, Marketing, Health Economics or Life Science
- Min 5 years’ experience in payers communications in a healthcare environment at a medical device or pharmaceutical or biotechnology or a specialist consulting company.
- Track record of developing and delivering marketing and communication strategy for payers
- Experience with strategic marketing value story development and customers segmentation
- Good understanding of heath economics principles
- Excellent oral and written communications
Nice to Have :
- Experience in Diabetes
- Knowledge of health care systems and different customers across EMEA
- Other European languages would be a plus
