A day in the life.
The Technical Implementation Specialist - Connectivity & Insights will plan and execute on implementation plans for the hardware and software requirements that support the next generation of our Connectivity & Insights platform. This project will impact our CRHF customers and patients that are currently using various modalities for their device follow-up. The Connectivity & Insights Operations Specialist will provide support to a functional group or business support process and coordinates with operations team members as required.
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management, planning, project team, and line management:
- Manages the development and implementation process of products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams.
- Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
- Conduct project meetings and is responsible to review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
- Act as the liaison between the business and IT, to develop and execute a project plan to deliver solutions that addresses their requirements.
- Lead a cross functional team at Medtronic of Canada to execute on the plan.
- Assist in identification of opportunity areas and their expected benefits.
- Based on business requirements and other inputs already gathered, develop Project Plan consisting of a project charter, scope, and work breakdown structure (WBS) and schedule for major projects/programs.
- In collaboration with Education Manager develop and conduct internal and external education plans.
- Develop an internal and external communication strategy for the project.
- Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR)
Must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or Business
- Minimum of 1 year work experience in an operations or project management role
- Must have the ability to develop and present business solutions/project plans to all levels of Management and positively influence to gain acceptance of these recommendations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interface and influence at all organizational levels
- Ability to facilitate project team meetings effectively
- Possess a technical aptitude, is analytical and a self-starter
- Able to challenge assumptions with solid evidence / reasoning
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Skills
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines, work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel 20%

- 3 years related experience
- Experience leading a cross functional project team
- Bilingual English/French
- Hospital IT experience an asset
