The Principal Marketing Communications Specialist supports the Pelvic Health business within the Neuroscience portfolio at Medtronic. This position focuses on planning, implementing, and evaluating omnichannel marketing communications strategies and tactics to support the launch of new products, showcase Pelvic Health innovation at industry conferences, and create innovative customer experiences for Pelvic Health customers and patients. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams and agency partners to deliver outcome-based campaigns that drive awareness, generate leads, increase customer engagement, deliver excellent customer experiences, and increase adoption of our services and solutions.
As the Principal Marketing Communication Specialist, you would execute on both strategic and tactical levels, with strong creative and analytical capabilities, and ideally possess superior communication and teamwork skills.

The Pelvic Health business is based in Minneapolis, MN. This role is open to remote for well qualified candidates within the continental United States.
A Day in the Life
- Consult with marketers and other business partners to develop and execute measurable omnichannel marketing communications strategies that deliver positive customer experiences and enable business growth
- Work closely with PR , digital teams and marketing channel to understand customer needs, pain points and experiences to facilitate integrated communication strategies
- Proactively lead the development and implementation of communication strategies/tactics to influence adoption of Pelvic Health products and solutions worldwide
- Align tactics with measurable business outcomes–and analyze metrics to drive data-driven decisions
- Leverage customer insights to inform and develop an effective approach to messaging and delivery across multiple platforms
- Use problem-solving skills to simplify and communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences – actively participate in writing and editing of strategic messaging
- Determine appropriate communications channel mix and write /edit all types of content to support multiple programs, product launches, and campaigns
- Champion ‘Digital First’ mindset to drive demand and conversions by aligning content with the customer journey using various channels
- Manage agency /vendor relationships, including selection and day-to-day activities
- Build and manage influencer relationships to communicate successfully in written and verbal environments
- Travel approximately once per Quarter, potentially higher if remote based
- Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned
- Bachelors degree required
- At least 7 years of experience in strategic marketing, marketing communications, or corporate communications (5 years of experience with a master’s degree)
- Experience with digital and social media marketing

- Bachelors’ degree in Business, Marketing, Marketing Communications or Communications
- Exceptional project management, relationship management and organizational skills

- Expertise in content development and editing and copywriting
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships and work collaboratively across all functional and geographic areas
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
