The Principal IT Salesforce Technologist will be responsible for leading the technical designs and development delivery for program launches while ensuring alignment against a long-term technical roadmap. The ideal candidate will need to have a strong Salesforce technical background with prior development experience, a forward-thinking mindset, and works well in a collaborative team environment.
This individual will work daily in a cross-functional team setting, collaborating with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Development Leads, Quality Assurance Testers, Automation Test Engineers, UX Design Leads and Data Science Teams. This role will lead the techno-functional direction across eCommerce, Inside Sales, Training Management, and Health Care Professional applications on Salesforce.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
• Lead technical design and code review sessions with Development team for new functional requirements.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and QA Test Leads to better understand functional requirements and provide technical direction to Development teams.
• Participate in Business Requirement Reviews and lead technical direction, provide development estimates, and oversee development execution in Waterfall based projects.
• Partner with Enterprise Solution Architects to ensure our applications and technical direction is aligned to Enterprise Roadmap.
• Ensure practices are followed in the areas of Test Driven Development, Technical Documentation, Unit Testing, Version Control, DevOps Release Management, and Production Support.
• Define and enforce development standards around Test Class Code Coverage, Application Performance, Modular Design Techniques, and Code Quality.
• Provide timely, innovative, and practical solutions to help address critical issues impacting business.
• Define and drive progress with the development team against technical roadmap plans to improve application stability, development speed, application performance, environmental quality, data management, and reduce technical debt.
• Collaborate with other technical teams from Integrations, SAP, GE-IDX, and Reporting systems where needed.
• Partner with Business Analysts to ensure Sprint Show & Tell stories are ready for demonstration.
• Work with technical teams to ensure data cleanliness throughout environments.
• Define technical standards for Salesforce configurations and environments.
• Contribute to the selection of development team personnel.
• Strong communication skills with interests in the areas of leadership and growth opportunities.
