The European Operating Center located in Heerlen houses a team of 120 Supply Chain professionals which is accountable for Supply Chain Management for the entire Medtronic product portfolio containing over 80,000 active products, generating over 4 b$ of revenue. From here we serve our customers in over 120+ countries in Europe, Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
A Day in the Life
Each Supply Chain Analyst is contributing to the Medtronic Mission by guaranteeing constant product supply in balance with the demand. You play a key role in ensuring that our customers receive our life changing therapies on time. You closely cooperate within a matrix environment with stakeholders from demand planning, inventory management, logistics, marketing/sales and other global and local departments. As a Supply Chain Analyst you will contribute to the promise of making a real difference in people’s lives.
Your main objective is to reach high service levels to our customers, at optimal cost. Main contributions from Supply Chain planning is to have high Product Availability (97%), while minimizing inventory and obsolescence costs (meet AOP). You are responsible for ideal safety stock settings, master data management, work with vendors / supplying plants on adherence to safety stock. In parallel with maintaining healthy inventory levels and reducing scrap and obsolecense.

To be successful in this role, you are a problem solver by nature with strong analytical skills and a pro-active, hands-on mentality. You have a distinct drive for execution and results and a clear focus on customer satisfaction. To foster cross functional long-term relationships with colleagues and stakeholders is crucial; you are a teamplayer. Managing several tasks at once poses no problem for you, as is working under pressure. Additionally you have the following skills and experience.
- Bachelors or Master’s degree preferably in logistics or supply chain
- >5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management in an international environment
- Analytical and technical skills (MS-Office), you are able to analyse raw data and translate into concrete actions and reports.
- Excellent command of the English language
- Contributes to the KPI and performance settings
- Adaptive to change; you are able to prioritize within multiple day-to-day activities and projects.You understand and activitely contibrute BU goals.
- Thinks end to end when dealing with challenges and opportunities.
- You will give operational support combined with an continuesly improvement mindset and are able to drive these changes.
- Experience with SAP / ERP
- Identifies opportunities for self development.
