A Day in the Life

Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) team members are seasoned professionals with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare value chain, as well as breadth of experience across multiple disciplines. They partner with Medtronic business teams to bring hospital and patients services and solutions linked to the Medtronic therapies. They work with hospital management and clinical teams to drive transformational change, implement innovative growth strategies, streamline patient-focused care pathways and optimize operations.

The Digital Health team is responsible for bringing to IHS and the Medtronic business units innovative digitally enabled solutions that will enrich our core service offering and support medical product business growth.

 

SCOPE OF THE JOB

The Digital Health Therapy Specialist for IHS EMEA reports to the Digital Health Manager for IHS EMEA. With the Team, he/she is responsible for establishing a high performing and cutting-edge Digital Health business within IHS. He/she is in charge of multiple therapies for which he/she understands the market needs. He/she builds and maintains the knowledge for digitalization of those therapies and supports the local organizations in commercializing and implementing these digitalized therapies in their market.

 

MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Manage digital health therapies: Accountable for multiple therapies. Your key responsibilities are:

For new therapy projects:

·       Understand the indication and disease;

·       Understand the market digitalization needs for these therapies, within the scope of the digital solutions available;

·       Understand the business case;

·       Define scope, budget and timeline together with the BU partner and the digital health manager;

·       Manage scope, budget and timeline;

·       Understand the needs of clinicians and patients for digitalization of the care pathway;

·       Use design thinking type of methodologies to ideate the digital solution that would bring value to these stakeholders

·       Work with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and internal and external partners to build the knowledge assets required for digitalizing the pathway

·       Configure the digital products for the therapies according to the work with the KOLs;

 

For all therapies:

·       Train and educate local IHS partners and BU stakeholders on the respective therapies

·       Track the pipeline of opportunities

·       Support commercialization efforts

·       Support localization efforts for the digital health therapy knowledge

·       Support local implementation efforts

·       Manage the knowledge assets and ensure the consistency of their continuous enrichment throughout EMEA so that data can be exploited

·       Gather feedback on solution from end users and from the business and identify innovation opportunities

·       Identify up-selling opportunities

 

·       Continuously improve the offer: Support the continuous enrichment of the Digital Health offer by injecting new ideas and methodologies, spotting improvement areas, strategy proposals, continuously taking customer feedback and managing it.

 

·       Other: Work on specific projects when needed. Such work continues to be necessary, since the Digital Health Team is small, and many different activities are required to set-up and deliver those innovative digital solutions.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

·       Graduate Education Degree

·       Excellent written and spoken use of English language with another European language a plus

 

JOB EXPERIENCE

·       3-5 years of project management in healthcare

·        Management of projects spanning from ideation, need validation, solution definition, to execution and performance monitoring

·       Management of multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment

·       Track record of navigating complex organizational matrices

·       Consultancy background is a plus

 

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

·       Strong problem solver, with knowledge of healthcare and digital health

·       Agile mindset with the eagerness to tackle new challenges

·       Strong communication skills

·       Hands-on and rigorous detailed-oriented mindset

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Willingness to travel within EMEA (50%)
