Extrusion Operator II - Foundation

Medtronic’s Extrusion Technology Center of Excellence, located in Danvers, MA is looking for an Extrusion Operator II to support Manufacturing Operations by setting-up and operating automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production / processing operation. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Set up and operate plastic extrusion equipment to manufacture miniature, precision tubing to established quality standards in order to meet production demands.
- Assist engineering team in development of extrusion tooling, equipment and material.
- Know process of screw and tool design, resin characteristics, temperature control, automated feedback loops, and ancillary downstream equipment such as burst testers and slickers.
- Troubleshoot, repair and conduct maintenance on extrusion equipment.
- Ensure materials necessary for extrusions are dried to specifications.
- Mix, blend, or color raw materials as required.
- Write and execute equipment qualifications on all new or modified tooling or equipment to test and qualify items and provide documented proof that operations are within established parameters.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- May require vocational or technical education or certification.
