A day in life
Being the Service Delivery Manager at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen you lead, support and work along an energetic team to deliver managed services to the hospital as part of Medtronic, Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) division. The high quality managed services is part of our contract to create value for the Rigshospitalet; currently it covers materials management for the Heart center and for the Abdominal center of the hospital.
Being a successful Service Delivery Manager requires ‘hands on’ and Can-Do mentality in front-facing the client and includes working with a variety of key stakeholders in Rigshospitalet, such as nursing staff, hospital departments, clinical leadership, finance and senior management/directors.
You maintain and develop relationships with colleagues as well, in Medtronic Operating Units, finance, supply chain, IT and supplier management. You are a part of the global Medtronic network.
Responsibilities
• Stakeholder management: execute an effective stakeholder management plan to ensure that the managed service operates in alignment with all key internal and external stakeholders
• Change management: the partnership between Rigshospitalet and IHS is built on creating value, increasing patient satisfaction and establishing new ways of joint working. A key element of the role is to therefore drive an effective change management plan taking all key stakeholders along with us
• You must have a strong desire to drive value generation for the hospital; this will entail ‘owning’ existing levers as well as exhibiting an entrepreneurial approach to finding new ways of adding value
• Leading a team of 5 (and growing) on-site Materials Management Analysts; this will require you to be ‘hands on’ and to fully grasp the detail of day to day site operations and regularly step into the execution
• Foster continuous learning, within the team and the processes, and drive Operational Excellence (OPEX)
• Performance measurement and reporting; ensuring that performance is measured against clearly defined key performance indicators, and if performance warrants remedial, corrective or preventive action, that the appropriate action is planned, implemented and fully reviewed
• Ensuring that on-site operations remain within budget, or beat the target
• Collaboration with other IHS teams at Rigshospitalet and with other accounts to establish and maintain best practices

Must Haves
• You have a Master’s degree in a relevant functional area
• You are a strong customer/service minded, energetic person who enjoys working with a demanding and ambitious client, in an environment close to patients.
• You are a process thinker, data driven and solutions oriented; but also able to ‘think on your feet’ if the situation requires
• You have 5-10 years experience in people-, team- and change-management; you enjoy to drive continuous development of your team members
• You are an outstanding communicator and agile in adapting your communication style to the various stakeholders that you liase with in the hospital - senior management, nursing and clinical staff
• You have a strong knowledge of healthcare / hospital practices, decision process and quality standards
• A clinical or nursing background is a plus
• Lean 6 Sigma and/or project management experience is a plus
• You are fluent in Danish and English, verbal and in writing
• You are willing to occasionally travel to other IHS accounts in Denmark, Scandinavia or Europe
• You are able to undertake basic manual physical handling of medical devices
